What does it take?
Starting or working at a start-up can be one of the most
stressful things a person does in his or her life. Despite the fact that
thousands have done it all before, it can be daunting to take your first step
without a mentor as a guide. But that shouldn’t stop you from pursuing
your dreams. Many have failed and many will fail in future but that is how a
millionaire or a billionaire evolves, doesn’t it?
Billionaire Peter Thiel, widely known as one of the founders
of PayPal, is perhaps most strongly influenced by his experience as a
professional chess player. His advice goes against the popular theory that
being the first one to enter the market is one of the most important tactics
for building a successful company.
Instead, he advises startups to view their business model like a game of
chess and focus on their long-term vision.

It’s not about the quality of the product idea or even the
founders, it’s about the team that grows with the company because if that’s not
right, the initial company probably won’t succeed.
Being a fearless entrepreneur of a startup is as important
as oxygen for a human. It is you who everybody will look upto when your
business faces losses and it will again be you when it gains profit and you
have to remain indifferent to both situations. In times of problems, come up with
a variety of creative solutions and surprise everyone.
Remember, You should never be argumentative while stating
your ideas and never hesitate in
teaching your co-workers some of those magic tricks that you keep in your
pockets. Who knows, someone might add to it and make it even more wonderful.
Lastly, NEVER GIVE UP! the real key to mastering a complex
skill is grit--the ability to stick with something long enough to say “no
thanks!” to anything that comes in your way to derail you.
